Kids Light Shade Made from Magformers

I hope this post benefits anyone looking for an interesting idea for a kids light shade. We scoured the internet for ages looking for a suitable light shade for our toy store but found most children’s lamp shades really uninspiring. Luckily we hit upon the idea of making a shade out of the Magformers magnetic construction toy we stock in our shop.

The magnets are so strong that the shade is entirely self-supporting (apart from a small amount of wire used at the top to attach it to the pendant cord).

I love our little lamp shade – it may not be the most sophisticated thing in the world but it’s very sweet and shows what a great toy the Magformers are!
